Type: 12 months contract role, $ 23.00 per hourly rate

We are looking for Technician with:

  • 5 years’ experience
  • PLC experience
  • Diagnosis experience
  • 1st shift 7am-3:30
  • Will last for 1 year +

1) Looking for tech’s with experience in repairing tools (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) all brands

2) Looking for Tech’s that can troubleshoot electronic equipment

3) 5 years min of experience on doing points 1 & 2 above

Examples of repairing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic tools –

Electrical - changing electrical plug cable, detect when electrical motor power is weak, ground connection not working properly, safety features working properly (experience with drills, grinders, band saw, chainsaw, reciprocating saw, electrical cords inspection, spot lights, transformers settings, etc.
Pneumatic – trouble shoot tools for air leaks, how to oil pneumatic tools, know when tools are worn out beyond repair.
Hydraulic - trouble shoot tools for leaks, how to test tools to ensure they can meet design intent, how to repair when it does not meet design intent, experience with all brands of pneumatic tools.

The Tooling Specialist will be responsible for the inventory, restocking, maintenance and repair of turbine and generator tool kits to support outage requirements; ensuring they are presentable and meet all safety, quality, company and government requirements.

  • Follow direction from tool center manager, Cell Leader and Lead Technician
  • Keep and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Follow work instructions and adhere to site safety, quality, company and government requirements
  • Repair and maintain all turbine and generator tools and containers; ensure they are clean and meet all safety and quality requirements
  • Perform visual, electrical, mechanical, electronic inspection of tools, report and quarantine any non-compliant items
  • Perform repairs of electrical / electronic equipment up to 480 volts
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties when assigned
  • Coordinate activities and complete projects to maximize safety, quality, productivity and compliance to policies
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and support
  • Safely utilize material handling equipment & techniques
  • Ensure all work is performed with an EHS mindset
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Associate's/Technical Degree from an accredited college or university OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a production or service environment repairing electrical/pneumatic / hydraulic tools
  • Minimum of one year experience working in a production or service environment
    • Ability and willingness to lift 55 pounds as required
    • Ability and willingness to travel 5%of the time
    • Ability and willingness to stand for long period of time
    • Ability and willingness to work in various conditions & environments
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Previous supervisory / leadership experience
    • Ability to develop credibility with employees, managers, peers and customers
    • Strong mechanical, technical, and analytical skills
    • Ability to plan, communicate, and execute
    • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
    • Turbine maintenance, generator maintenance or tooling experience
    • Ability to learn, understand, and capable to implement all policies, practices and procedures
    • Knowledge of standard Industry & Electrical codes, regulations & practices, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, UL, etc.
    • Minimum of 6 months of experience with tools used in the maintenance of power generators, turbines or minimum of one year of vocational school training
    • Demonstrates knowledge of electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools and equipment
    • Demonstrated ability in meeting schedule commitments
    • Process oriented mindset
    • Forklift driver experience
    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, asset tracking systems and online applications
    • Excellent communication skill
    • Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuitry, diagnostics and industrial maintenance
    • Understanding of industrial electrical & electronic circuitry
    • Ability to apply diagnostic & troubleshooting skills to repair and maintain test & industrial equipment
    • General maintenance welding experience
    • Self-directed
