Job Summary:

The Senior General Accountant will be responsible to provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; substantiates account balances by auditing financial transactions. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. The Senior General Accountant will partner closely with the accounting team and have a high degree of interaction with Executive Management.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business discipline

Preferred Experience:

  • CPA license or working towards obtaining CPA license is a plus
  • Relevant work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment


  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency level within MS Excel (Pivots, Lookups, Indexes)
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Strong work ethic with high integrity and ethical standards and strong solving skills
  • Experience with ERP Systems (Epicor ERP system a plus)


  • Perform General Accounting functions including analyzing accounts, determining the proper handling of financial transactions, booking journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing analyses and reports as required, and leading the month-end financial close
  • Must have knowledge of financial statements, the ability to investigate problems and make corrections, and address inconsistencies in entries, documents, and reports
  • Create various financial reports on a timely and accurate basis to support the executive team, functional management and external customers
  • Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and ensure that financial statements are GAAP compliant
  • Lead the data collection efforts to support the annual year end audit
  • Interact with auditors, perform ad hoc analysis and complex reconciliations as required
  • Assist in the development and execution of accounting policies and procedures, developing work instructions
  • Develop and substantiate accrual liability entries during month end close process
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to processes and systems
  • Work in a cross functional environment to implement change as required
  • Must be comfortable interacting and meeting with all levels of the organization, be able to promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge, while maintaining a high degree of customer service internally and externally
  • Performs other such duties as may be appropriate for this position
